You can take scenic hikes, bicycle tours, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, enjoy the miles of ATV and snowmobile trails, or go spelunking in one of the mines.

The best kept fishing secret in the midwest is without a doubt Michigan's upper peninsula. Pristine lakes, rivers, and streams, aggressive stocking and lack of fishing pressure equal a GREAT fishing experience. Our cabins are situated on Sunset Lake which is a 600 acre lake great for fishing, boating, water skiing and canoeing. Sunset Lake, as well as other area lakes, are known for many good fishing spots where you can try your luck angling for bass, walleye, muskie, northern pike, pan fish and many more species.

Within twenty minutes of Sunset Lake Cabins you will also find George Young Recreational Complex and Golf Course. The George Young Recreational Complex is located just off of Michigan Route 424 in the south central part of Michigan's Upper Peninsula on 3,300 scenic acres bordering on three lakes. The Complex is a not-for-profit corporation, open to the general public, dedicated to recreation, education, and preservation. It's facilities include the longest 18 hole golf course in the Upper Peninsula, miles of trails for hiking, cross country skiing, and mountain biking, and a heated indoor swimming pool, with jacuzzi and sauna. Food and beverage are also available in it's rustic timber and stone clubhouse, lounge and dining room for those who use the recreational facilities.

Ski Brule, located within 10 mintues of Sunset Lake Cabins is a popular hot spot for skiers with runs for all skill levels.
